Product Description
Patented Hydrophilic Coating 8-63 Additive Compatible for drug delivery and other additives. This product has reduced slip, but more binder for a stronger film. The additive compatible coating is appropriate for radiopaques, bioactives, pigments, tracers, etc. Contact us at info@coatings2go.com for more information.
Kits are supplied as follows:
4oz kit comes with one (1) x 5g XLA and one (1) x 5g XLB
12oz kit comes with one (1) x 5g XLA and one (1) x 10g XLB
32oz kit comes with one (1) x 15g XLA and two (2) x 15g XLB
NOTE:
- During the winter months, all products will ship via overnight service because the coating cannot freeze
- International orders are subject to an additional $50 handling and processing fee and possible EEI filing (for orders over $2500) and bank wire fees. International orders must include carrier account information for shipping, duties, fees and taxes.
- If the time-of-sale shipping fee payment is less than the actual cost to ship (due to additional Duties and Taxes fees upon delivery), an invoice for the difference may be issued after your purchase.
The product is supplied as a kit with Crosslinkers A & B for improved strength and adhesion.
Based on association forces between the hydrophilic and supporting polymers, or a patented interpenetrating network formed in-situ during drying, these urethane systems can reduce kinetic friction to below 0.1.

Sustained Release/Drug Attachment Technology
Sustained drug attachment and release therapies provide a framework to release therapeutic agents over an extended time period from a medical device.

Patented systems use crosslinking agents to bind the supporting polymers to each other for better strength and resistance to solvents, sterilizing materials, heat and body fluids. Crosslinkers also bind to functional groups on the surface to improve adhesion. For drug delivery applications it is possible to bind and immobilize pharmaceutical agents to the surface allowing for sustained release, or surface immobilization.
